Full Moon Memory Walk 2019

The Full Moon Memory Walk is organized by Sharon Johnson each year to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Men, Boys and Two-Spirit people, and in support and solidarity with their families and friends.

This year’s walk will take place Saturday, September 14 and start at City Hall, 500 Donald Street East, at 3:30 pm. Following opening prayer and smudge, the memorial walk flag will be raised. Participants will then proceed to the Neebing-McIntyre Floodway for a drum ceremony and songs. A potluck feast will follow, and a sacred fire will burn from sunrise to the end of the event.

School bus transportation is provided back to City Hall for participants. Portable bathrooms on site at Floodway.

Everyone welcome. Please contact Sharon at 807-285-8423 or fullmoonmemorywalk@live.ca
