Art has always been a language of resistance. This March, students from Gender & Women’s Studies transform the gallery into a space where creativity meets courage. The exhibit will be on display in the Agora on the Lakehead University campus in Thunder Bay from March 23rd to 27th. Entry is free!
Sexual Activism & Politics is not just an exhibition, it is a conversation about bodies, power, identity, pleasure, resistance, and the politics that attempt to control them.
Through painting, visual storytelling, and experimental forms, these artists challenge silence, question norms, and imagine freer futures. Each piece asks us to look again, at gender, at sexuality, at the structures that shape our lives.
Because art does more than decorate walls. It disrupts. It provokes. It liberates. Join us in witnessing how creativity becomes activism.
This event is a collaboration with students from the Gender & Women’s Studies program, LUSU, Pride Central and the Gender Equity Centre
