Independent Living Resource Centre (ILRC) has launched a Community Lending Library of free rentals of air-purifying equipment to help make public events safer and more accessible.
Caring for Community is an initiative dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for individuals who prioritize
safety around air, including air quality, protection from airborne illnesses and scent sensitivity. Inspired by
similar efforts in larger cities, this program seeks to bring this concept to Thunder Bay by encouraging event organizers to consider these needs when planning their activities. Caring for Community offers free resources and equipment for organizers to borrow, supporting the creation of inclusive events. This program is proudly funded in part by Thunder Bay Community Foundation and the Independent Living Resource Centre Thunder Bay!
