Free public legal education session about how immigration status can affect entitlement to social benefits such as Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Social Housing, Canada Child Benefit (CCB), and Employment Insurance (EI). Topics include what social benefits newcomers can access, how receiving these benefits might affect Permanent Resident applications, and how receiving these benefits might affect the ability to sponsor.
