February 22 is Human Trafficking Awareness Day in Canada. The Thunder Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking is hosting an information event at the Intercity Shopping Centre on Friday, February 21st from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Attendees will be able to meet with service providers that can help and learn more about human trafficking in our city and region.
Human Trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labour, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation for financial gain or benefit for the traffickers or others.
The goal of the Thunder Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking and their website is to help survivor/victims and provide resources to prevent human trafficking in Thunder Bay. Learn more about human trafficking and get access to resources.
