from the Office of the Federal Ombudsperson for Victims of Crime:

Join the OFOVC in the release of our Report “Rethinking Justice for Survivors of Sexual Violence: a Systemic Investigation” during a virtual event on Tuesday, November 25th from 4:30pm to 6pm EST. This is a free event to attend, register today to secure a virtual spot.

The Office of the Federal Ombudsperson for Victims of Crime (OFOVC) launched, on March 11, 2024, a systemic investigation on the experiences of survivors of sexual assault within the Canadian criminal justice system (CJS) to highlight critical shortcomings and drive much needed reforms across the entire system. Changing the way survivors of sexual assault are treated in Canada’s CJS is critical. These improvements must be guided by the voices of survivors to advocate for victims’ rights and improve their journey through the system.

The OFOVC is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a hybrid event to promote the release of our Report “Rethinking Justice for Survivors of Sexual Violence: a systemic investigation”. Connect with fellow advocates, policymakers, and engaged Canadians as we work toward a future free from violence.
