The International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is an annual day of recognition, celebrated around the world on March 31st, which is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender and gender-expansive people, while simultaneously raising awareness of the work that is still needed to combat discrimination and violence.
LGBT Youthline and The Sleepy Gee Events are partnering up to celebrate Trans Day of Visibility with a Poetry Showcase! This is a FREE event to attend on Tuesday, March 31st at the Roots Community Food Centre (450 Fort William Rd) from 6pm to 8:30pm. Limited seats are available, so folks are encouraged to bring a friend and RSVP at your earliest convenience – RSVP today!
The celebration will showcase spoken poetry from local 2SLGBTQ+ artists:
