from CLEO Connect:
Join CLEO on Tuesday, May 19th from 12 – 1:30pm EST for a webinar on how to apply for a Legal Aid certificate in Ontario. Register today!
Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) provides legal help to people in Ontario with very low incomes. One way LAO helps is by giving people who qualify a legal aid certificate. A legal aid certificate covers the cost of a private lawyer to work on a person’s legal problem for a certain number of hours.
LAO certificates are an essential resource that many people with low incomes rely on to get legal help in Ontario.
In this webinar, we will cover:
- the services LAO certificates cover
- who qualifies and how to apply
- the types of legal issues covered
- the limits of LAO certificates
- common challenges
ASL interpretation will be available. This webinar will be recorded and available online later. Register today!
Speakers will include:
- Tania Princz-Lebel, Staff Lawyer, Connecting Ottawa
