Sexual harassment continues to be pervasive in Canadian workplaces. It can have negative short- and long-term impacts on employees. This study will examine workers’ experiences of sexual harassment, the actions taken by them, and the workplace responses, supports, and preventative measures and their effectiveness. It also examines what is needed to prevent and address the problem more effectively.

This project examines workers’ experiences of sexual harassment in the skilled trades sector and asks questions like:

  • What actions are taken to prevent and respond to sexual harassment at work?
  • How can workers be supported?
  • What does the public need to know to do their part to prevent sexual harassment?

If you are 18 years of age or older and have been employed in the past 2 years, you are eligible to participate. We invite you to complete a survey that asks a series of questions about sexual harassment at work. Your participation is voluntary, confidential and anonymous. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary, confidential and anonymous. Complete the survey here

If you have any questions about this study, please contact Dr. Adriana Berlingieri at [email protected] or the research team at [email protected].

In 2022, this research team reported on the findings from their first national survey about workers’ experiences of harassment and violence at work – read the full report here.
