We are pleased to announce the 6th Annual Ornament Fundraiser hosted by The Clay Collective NWO in support of the Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre. For this fundraiser, The Clay Collective NWO has welcomed potters from all over Northwestern Ontario to submit handmade ornaments for sale, with a portion of proceeds dedicated to fundraising.

ARE YOU AN INTERESTED ARTIST OR MAKER LOOKING TO SUPPORT THE NOWC?

All potters residing within Northwestern Ontario are invited to submit up to 10 ornaments (or holiday items!) to sell in their shop. Participants are welcome to donate either 100% or 40% of the proceeds of the sales of their holiday items to our returning charitable recipient (the Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre)

What is a holiday item? Anything that makes the winter holidays a little more special. Think ornaments, sculpture, mugs, dishes, trees. The only thing we ask is that your items reflect the holiday season. Of course, items must be ‘family-friendly’ and not culturally appropriative.

If you are interested in participating, please reach out to Melessa or Sarah at [email protected] and be prepared to drop off your first-quality, priced and ready to hang/display holiday items between October 20 and Nov 10 during business hours (Wednesday to Friday 11am to 6pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am to 4pm)

The Clay Collective NWO is a local pottery shop located in the Goods & Co Market in the historic Eaton’s Building on Red River Road.  The Collective is comprised of potters and ceramic artists in Thunder Bay and region.  Visit them in store or follow them on social media @claycollectivenwo or check out their website.

WHY SUPPORT THE NOWC

We believe lasting change happens when communities have the resources, support, and collective power to create a more just and equitable society. Funds raised provide unrestricted revenue that helps us plan and sustain programs – such as our Sexual Violence and Community Advocacy programs – and events, including International Women’s Day. Your support also helps us respond to immediate needs by providing items such as hygiene supplies, snack bags, bus tickets, Good Food Box coupons, diapers, formula, and warm winter gear.
