The Clay Collective NWO is hosting a vase auction with proceeds going to the Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre.
The Clay Collective NWO is a local pottery shop located in the Goods & Co Market in the historic Eaton’s Building on Red River Road. The Collective is comprised of ten potters/ceramic artists. Visit them in store or follow them on social media @claycollectivenwo or check out their website.
For this fundraiser The Clay Collective NWO has welcomed potters from all over Northwestern Ontario to submit handmade ceramic vases for auction. There are about ten artists participating.
Artists include Sarah Link, a renowned local ceramic artist who has been inducted into the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts.
HOW IT WORKS:
Each week a certain number of vases are available for silent auction in the store.
Week 1: Wednesday February 2 books open at 11 am to Sunday February 6 books close at 4 pm
Week 2: Wednesday February 9 books open at 11 am to Saturday February 12 books close at 4 pm
*Please note that week 2 is a day shorter to accommodate for pickup before Valentines Day, if the auction winner so wishes.
Bidding will go up in $5 increments and there will be a “max bid” option.
One vase each week will be auctioned on instagram instead of in store.
Stop by The Clay Collective NWO for more information, to view the vases, or to place a bid!
*Please note: Floral arrangements in the photographs are designed by Velvet Rope Floral, also located in the Goods & Co Market. Floral arrangements are not included with the vase.
