The Promoting Positive + Healthy Youth Relationships (PPHYR)Project is excited to invite you to attend ‘Working Towards Gender-Based Violence Prevention: A Community Approach’. This event is being held on Monday, March 17th, 2025 at the Delta Hotel in Thunder Bay (virtual attendance available!) from 8:30am to 3:00pm. This event is geared toward youth-serving organizations, GBV advocates, and service providers.
By attending this event, participants will learn about the Promoting Positive + Healthy Youth Relationships Project (PPHYR) and local GBV prevention initiatives; the speakers will also increase participant’s knowledge of:
- Youth dating Violence (YDV) prevelance, risks and protective factors, links to intimate partner violence (IPV), and prevention strategies
- Why engaging boys and men in GBV prevention is key
- How to create the social conditions that will stop violence before it starts
